Taiwan traffic is deadly.

That's horrible.

A long long time ago, during my first years in Taiwan, I was almost struck when crossing Xinyi. Xinyi is a one-way street heading west, and I didn't know that there was a special lane for buses going east. So looking the wrong way, I started to cross the road when a bus whizzed by just inches from me.

Yes, be careful!

It seems a bad time to walk in the street of Taiwan for Americans right now. Opinion based entirely on the title of the links.
