Guys, Taiwan people are not faced with these kinds of dangers every day, so that they become cool headed and can react coolly when a maniac suddenly, out of the blue, while they are minding their business, decides to attack them with a knife.

Speeding around is pure panic. Listen to the recording. Their voice waver in pure fear.

In other news, more has been revealed about knife guy. Close friends with White Wolf (Chang An-le), participated in "parallel activities" discouraging students last Sunflower protests. Owner of a chain of binlang stands. Which explains the girlfriend story and the fact that he is sitting calmly at home and not in jail.

Oh, and he states he was not drugged. He already did the "hope they will forgive me" and of course the victims will agree.

Please do note that footage of him doing the same sheneganians earlier that morning have also surfaced.

Scooter maniac

That was a description, not a name, but fair enough. The typhoon's name is Soudelor:
"Soudelor is a Pohnpeian word for a legendary chief or ruler, according to the National Weather Service. Pohnpeian is a language spoken on the island of Pohnpei in the Caroline Islands."
Be kind, for everyone is fighting a hard battle.

Sounds cool. But I thought the same about the sound of "Morakot"...

I read something about that earlier today in The China Post. CWB warns of 'single wolf' Typhoon Soudelor

Its not saying the name of the typhoon is "single wolf" rather that would describe it's nature. It seems to mean a typhoon that moves across the island quickly rather than lingering and drawing in weather fronts from the southwest as many typhoons apparently do.

Then again I did a search with "Soudelor" being left out of the search results, and it seems this is the first time a typhoon has ever been described as a "single wolf", in English anyway. :idunno:

The "single wolf" quality, AFAIK, comes from the fact that, while it is a strong typhoon, somehow lacks the terrible "southerly countercurrent" winds that are to be feared usually as more devastating. It seems to be a single direction. Or so I sort of gather from the explanations, which no matter in what language, are a bit deep for Icon and require simplified English/more coffee to be understood.
